This is Maggie, Meghan's sister writing this entry...the last 24 hours have been really, really difficult for Jackson, Meghan, and Tony. I will try to keep it as brief as possible, but will explain a little of what occurred yesterday evening and early this morning. Jackson was having some break-through pain yesterday and the Morphine made him itchy. So, they tried another pain drug on him last night (I think it was Dilaudid). After receiving the drug, Jackson began having grand mal seizures (which he had never had before). He had about 3 seizures spread a few minutes apart and then the seizures became constant. It took a long time for them to get the grand mal seizures under control with medication. After they finally got the seizures under control, Jackson was very agitated and he pulled out 2 IVs. The medical team felt it was in Jack's best interest to intubate him and keep him more sedated. The doctor met with Meghan and Tony this morning and said they plan to keep Jack intubated/sedated until his surgery tomorrow. The doctor had Meghan and Tony leave and go get some rest. They said they did not want Jack stimulated today and wanted him to rest. I know Meghan and Tony were very reluctant to leave but are also utterly exhausted. Meghan called and asked me to post this entry and to please ask for prayers today....to pray that Jack will be stable, calm, and relieved of pain. Meghan and Tony are supposed to be back at 1:00 to meet with the doctors. Please, please pray for Meghan and Tony too as there bodies are so weary.....pray that they also get rest and peace today. Our family sincerely appreciates everyone's thoughts and prayers.

I wish I were there to be with you and let you know that everything is going to be okay. We are praying for your strength, and Jack's stability, and know that he is so strong and will make it through this. We love you.
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.
Hebrews 10:23
We are standing strong believing for Jackson's full recovery!
We will pray for you all as you try and find your way through what has got to be the most difficult time of this journey so fa.We pray for Jackson. That is little body will rest and more importantly heal. That all of you find comfort in each other and strength in God,with the knowledge that He continues to walk right beside you.Lending you His strength when you need it most.
Oh my goodness, I know how scary those grand mals are and to have 3 on top of another...I know it must have been terrifying! I think the intubating may be a blessing in disguise. It will allow his little body to rest until the surgery is performed and hopefully it will allow you to get some rest too! Please know that we're sending constant prayers for all of you and that these seizures (all of them) will soon be a thing of the past!! If you need ANYTHING please let me know!!

God I ask today to watch over Jackson, Meghan and Tony. Please continue to watch over them and guide them through this journey. Bring give Jackson the strength, rest and peace needed to continue on this journey. Please Continue to give Meghan and Tony the knowledge, strength and interpeace that has brought them to Detroit and to this team of doctors. Please continue to guide the team of doctors and nurses caring for this Miracle who is named Jackson.
Meghan and Tony I sit here today in Houston wishing I was there with you both. To hug and hold you. I wish there was something I could do or say to make this journey easier for you all. I will continue to pray for Jackson the Determined. I call him this because from the day he was born he had determination like no other. Jackson I want you to know that you have so many people here in Texas praying for you and that love you very much.
Meghan and Tony I love very much and thank God every day for allowing me to know you.
Stay Strong!
Anne
