Made it through the 1st night

Jackson continued to have a rather difficult night. I know it is expected with the surgery, anesthesia, and all the grids and wires coming from his head. He has a slight fever and hasn't been able to keep any juice down. They have kept him pretty sedated, but he seems to wake up a lot. After starting the depakote, his seizures did subside. He will be moved up to a regular room where they will still monitor where the abnormal activity is originating.

He did give me a smile last night and started trying to talk a little! I was so happy to his sweet smile!

Sorry for the short post...but I will write more in a little while. The Surgeon and Doctors are making their rounds now.

Thank you for all your thoughtful emails and sending prayers Jackson's way!

Meghan I can't even imagine the emotions that are running through you right now. As I have said in the past Jackson is so blessed to have you as his Mommy. You are absolutely amazing. I am so happy to hear the seizures have subsided. I know that was so difficult to deal with on top of the bandages, swelling and sedation. Stay Strong! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
